18 Finding the Low-Belt Sound of Your Belt Voice

It is the primary goal of a belter to avoid uniformity and to keep its individual sound.

The range of a typical low-belt voice reaches from the tone A below middle C up to A, B flat, or B above middle C, sometimes up to D above the high C.

A singer who can easily produce the voice’s loudest tone in this range and is able to keep the belt sound at least up to B above middle C or even the high C, needs to be identified as a low-belt voice.
